Reducing Sludge Generation, Increasing Water Quality

Utility Patent provides a process for treating wastewater and conditioning sludge by-product from physical, chemical, and biological treatment for producing sludge with optimal constituents for cement production. The process includes a solid and liquid phase separation step in a wastewater treatment solid liquid phase separation device and a dewatering step in a wastewater solid liquid dewatering device. One or more treatment chemicals are used prior to, in, or after these two steps. The produced wastewater solid sludge is heated up in a cement kiln to produce grayish-black pellets known as clinker, which is further cooled, pulverized, and ground to extremely fine particles to produce Portland cement.
